Major Activity

TOLLING ACTIVE ON 183 TOLL

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (Mobility Authority) has opened the entire length of the 183 Toll Road and the tolled direct connectors between 183 Toll and SH 71. Drivers who wish to avoid paying a toll should be sure to follow signs for the non-tolled US 183 general purpose lanes.

These significant project milestones offer drivers the option to bypass the traffic signals at Loyola Lane, FM 969 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), and Montopolis Drive. The toll rate for a full-length trip on the 8-mile 183 Toll Road is $2.30 for drivers with an electronic tag, like TxTag. The cost to use the tolled flyover ramps between the 183 Toll Road and SH 71 will be an additional $0.59 with a tag. TxTag customers should be aware that there could be a delay in billing for tolls on the 183 Toll Road due to ongoing system upgrades at TxTag. For any questions about your electronic tag, please contact your tag provider. Click here for more information on toll rates, how to pay your toll bill, and how to save with an electronic tag.

Drivers who prefer not to pay tolls can still use the new and improved US 183 general-purpose lanes adjacent to the 183 Toll Road.

We are asking our neighbors to keep in mind that there will still be some miscellaneous project elements to complete over the coming months. Our crews will be finalizing some roadway elements, wrapping up the bicycle/pedestrian facilities, and landscaping.
